The addition of JUVÉDERM VOLUMA XC to our menu of injectable fillers in Thousand Oaks is a significant advantage for Dr. Kouros Azar’s patients. That’s because VOLUMA XC is the first filler approved by the FDA for enhancing the mid-face area, including the cheeks, and is one of the longest-lasting fillers available.
For patients who are interested in restoring a more youthful appearance without surgery, VOLUMA XC may be an excellent choice. It has been used with great success in Europe and Canada since 2005. The essential advancement in technology is a mixture of different forms of hyaluronic acid which creates stronger lifting power on the tissues. It can be used on the cheeks, chin, temple, and nasolabial fold.
If you would like to find out whether VOLUMA XC is right for you, request a consultation with Dr. Azar to discuss the possibilities. Or, you can call our office at (805) 373-7073 and one of our knowledgeable, friendly staff members will schedule your appointment.

The Refreshed Look You Want
Dr. Azar is one of the most skilled injectors in the Southern California region and performs most minimally invasive treatments himself. His reputation for excellence is one of the reasons JUVÉDERM selected him as one of about 250 doctors nationwide to receive advance shipments of VOLUMA XC upon its release. What sets VOLUMA XC apart from other anti-aging treatments offered in Westlake Village and Thousand Oaks?
- It restores volume to sunken cheeks, creating a “lifted” look without undergoing a surgical facelift.
It’s clinically proven to last up to 2 years with a single treatment.1
- There is minimal to no downtime, with patients usually resuming normal daily routines 24 hours after treatment.
- The result is much more natural, smooth and more immediate than any filler Dr. Azar has seen to date. It can even be used to improve filler results done at other offices.
- The treatment is quick, easy and comfortable due to the fact that it has numbing medicine within the product and is being injected away from areas with a lot of nerves.
- The result doesn’t look overdone and is completely reversible with a simple injection.
Like all facial rejuvenation injectable treatments, your results will be a reflection of the injector’s experience and technique. Dr. Azar is one of the leading injectors in the region, as shown by his status as an official trainer and educator for the product. He teaches other doctors how to use VOLUMA XC at least 1 or 2 times each week.
Dr. Azar’s practice is the leading provider of VOLUMA in Ventura County and one of the top in California.
Although the naso-labial folds have traditionally been injected with fillers such as JUVEDERM, the new way of thinking is to lift the cheeks to take attention away from the folds and the jowl area. In other words, the naso-labial fold may be the symptom, but the underlying problem is in the midface and cheek which can be powerfully improved with VOLUMA.
Dr. Azar applies Voluma XC strategically to improve your facial contour and diminish nasolabial folds.
The number of syringes needed will be determined between Dr. Azar and yourself during the consultation. In general it is best to do “full correction” at the first treatment. However, it is easy and routine to add more syringes later if you or Dr. Azar feel you need more to achieve the best result. You may also choose to add some JUVEDERM to the folds even after the VOLUMA treatment for maximum correction.
Although it’s likely you’ll get excellent results with VOLUMA XC injections alone, patients often choose to combine the treatment with procedures such as eyelid surgery for a complete refreshed look.
Our Other Injectables
VOLUMA XC is the latest product offered for patients who want a refreshed appearance without the downtime required after facial cosmetic surgery. As a certified speaker and trainer for BOTOX® Cosmetic and JUVÉDERM products, Dr. Azar customizes treatment plans for his patients. The dermal fillers Dr. Azar uses are made using hyaluronic acid and calcium compounds, which are found naturally in your body so there’s virtually no risk of an allergic reaction.
