Leg Vein Treatment

Superficial leg veins, also known as spider veins or superficial varicose veins, are groups of red and purple veins that appear on the thighs, calves or ankles. Leg veins are a common condition among men and women and may be hereditary. There is no known cause for these veins, although they seem to occur after pregnancy or to people in occupations that involve prolonged standing
.

Sclerotherapy, a treatment form that is more economical than lasers, and effective for varicose veins of all sizes, involves injecting a solution that causes irritation to the veins, ultimately causing them to close off after about four to six weeks. Some areas will require more than one injection. Our goal is to significantly reduce the number of these veins by 70 to 80 percent.
